Kim Zolciak is leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” to focus on her Bravo spin-off show.
Zolciak’s abrupt departure from “Real Housewives” occurs midway through the fifth season, currently airing on Bravo, with the reality star declaring in the next episode “I’m done with this whole thing” after an argument with the ladies over a girls’ vacation.
Bravo has confirmed that the Dec. 2 episode will be Zolciak’s last appearance on “RHOA,” according to People.
Following Kim’s kiss-off, her Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes posted a message on Twitter claiming Kim was dropped from the show.
“It’s so funny how this chick wants people 2 think she quit the show! The producers no longer wanted 2 work wit u! Good bye wit the lies,” Leakes Tweeted.
Kim fired back claiming she was not fired and is still in business with Bravo.
“I definitely was NOT fired from RHOA I can guarantee u that!!!” Zolciak wrote, adding, “My spinoff last year was a 1 time thing so this spinoff is brand new! Bye hater!!!!”
It appears that part of the story is true, as it was announced Tuesday that the Zolciak-centered spin-off show “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding” has been renewed for a second season (with the title shortened to “Don’t Be Tardy…”), according to Deadline.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
