Will Kenan Thompson become the latest castmember to leave NBC staple “Saturday Night Live“?
The comedian, who first joined the famed series back in 2003, will team up with “SNL” executive producer Lorne Michaels to create a new comedy series, according to E! News. If the project moves forward, he would almost certainly have to leave his longtime home on the late-night series.
The would-be show centers around Thompson, who plays a guy forced to leave New York to live with his in-law’s in the suburbs.
Other longtime “SNL” veterans to leave the show in the past year include Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg.
