While he’s reporting on the latest Middle East conflict, Anderson Cooper turned over the reigns of his daytime talk show to … “Real Housewives” star NeNe Leakes and comedian Rosie O’Donnell.
The odd couple guest hosts filled in for the Silver Fox on Monday’s “Anderson Live,” and it’s a fun pairing if you consider that O’Donnell’s infamous feuding nemesis Donald Trump was Leakes’ boss for a season when she competed on “Celebrity Apprentice.” Yes, Trump talk did occur during the hour, where Rosie also gave a health update.
“You look good,” NeNe told Rosie, who seemed like her old self after the big heart attack scare she had in August.
“Thanks, you know I had a heart attack,” Rosie responded. “I keep telling everyone I had a heart attack and my kids are like, ‘Will you shut up already?’ And I am like, ‘No, I had a heart attack.”
The slimmed-down star discussed her recovery in response to a viewer’s question and also revealed she’s losing weight.
“Feeling a lot better, thank you,” Rosie said. “I got my number yesterday, I am way up there. I don’t mean weight, I mean like good like blood pressure and I’ve lost like twelve pounds. We are going for a pound a week.”
