The set of CBS’s hit comedy “The Big Bang Theory” was in for a big surprise when a recent taping came to a halt — and the cast and crew inexplicably broke out into song.

It was none other than sitcom star Kaley Cuoco who orchestrated a flash mob that took the studio audience by surprise during the Oct. 23 taping of Thursday’s episode, “The 43 Peculiarity.”

It also caught the show’s unsuspecting writers, producers and even Cuoco’s own boss, showrunner Chuck Lorre, off guard, as their reactions imply they were not in on the scheme.

The number is so fun you won’t even be bothered that it’s set to the most overplayed annoying song of the summer. By the way, make sure to watch it until the very end so you don’t miss Sheldon (Jim Parsons) capping it off with a hilarious finish.

“The Big Bang Theory” airs Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
