Could one of the “Real Housewives” franchise’s most notorious villains be plotting a Bravo comeback?
Holy hair-raising extensions, that’s the word on the street.
Former “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub could be headed back to New Jersey to appear on the show in some capacity next season.
“Bravo has offered Danielle a contract,” a source tells In Touch Weekly. She’s reportedly “contemplating whether this will be full-time or part-time.”
“She will be filming several episodes,” another insider contends, according to In Touch.
The magazine also claims filming on the next season has already begun and will cover the Jersey girls’ experiences during Hurricane Sandy.
Staub exited “RHONJ” after Season 2 following the notorious table-flipping era and a lethal hair-pulling catfight.
So why would producers want to take another stab at Staub?
“The producers squeezed all the juice they could from the Giudices-v.-Gorgas story line and had to think of a fresh outlet for drama,” the source tells the magazine, referring to feuding sister-inlaws Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.
“Having her back on will ruffle a lot of feathers!” the source added.
Bravo has not yet announced if “RHONJ” has been renewed for a fifth season, or which cast members would be returning if it is.
The cable network had no comment on the tabloid report, but it’s worth noting, as The Huffington Post points out, that TMZ reported in October that Danielle Staub did in fact recently meet with Bravo exec Andy Cohen … and that there are “zero plans” for her to return to the show.
