Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” showed that the ladies’ relationships—both new and old—were a work in progress. Because NeNe felt she had beaten the ladies to the top, it motivated her to be at “peace” with everyone and show her ever-flowing kindness. While Kandi and Phaedra played along (albeit with eyebrows and donkey booties raised), they kept a healthy distance from the new saintly actress. Cynthia still had her buttkissing gestures towards her giant friend intact, but pregnant Kim couldn’t care less about mending their frenemyship and seemed she’d rather eat fried egg rolls and nookie the night away with Kroy.

As for Kenya? Well, she was all over the place. When she wasn’t dissing Cynthia, she was crying, pressuring her boyfriend Walter to have babies, having jealous tantrums, and then going back to dissing Cynthia again.

If NeNe turns out to be the new good girl this season, Kenya’s well on her way to becoming NeNe 2.0.

Check out the highlights:

To promote her new NBC show “The New Normal,” NeNe takes her son Brentt to L.A. so that he could see his mommy ride a motorcade alongside fellow divas at the gay pride parade.

“I love the gays…they’re half man, half lady; you can’t beat that,” NeNe says.

As she sees gay men pumping their pasties in Speedos and fans screaming her name and waving shirts with her touching motto ‘I’m very rich, b*tch,’ she gets teary eyed…alas, she knows she has arrived!

Meanwhile back in Atlanta, Kandi and Phaedra invite Kenya out to lunch, and they all hit it off—especially since Kenya passes the “donkey bootie” test. However, Kenya brings up the Jet Beauty of the Week incident at Cynthia’s modeling agency and tells the ladies she thinks Cynthia’s got no brain. Oooh, chile…

Although Kenya loves to put on a Mean Girl exterior, we see her more vulnerable side when she spends time with her auntie, who raised her. (No big surprise, girlfriend has mommy issues.)

Feeling stressed that her auntie may not approve of her current boo Walter, Kenya explodes into ugly cry mode, but her aunt reassures her she’ll be open minded.

But there’s trouble in Mean Girl Land! Walter comes down to Atlanta to visit Kenya, and after she stresses the fact her eggs are getting really old and that she wants to be hitched and preggars asap, Walter reveals he had once asked Kandi out on a date. Even though he reassures Kenya that Kandi dissed him and it’s a non story, Kenya suddenly goes into sour puss mode and states Kandi’s got a “big a**.” Filled with jealousy, she tells him she’s lost her appetite and flees to the bathroom. But once she gets back, Walter fills her up with compliments to distract her, and she begins cackling again.

After her momentous ego-filling trip to L.A., NeNe flies back to Hotlanta and works out with Cynthia and Phaedra. After NeNe finishes looking like a giant frog leaping around with a kettlebell, Cynthia announces she’s throwing her BFF a party for her new-found fame and will be inviting the city’s most successful backstabbers women. Because NeNe feels she doesn’t have any competition, she allows Kim to be invited.

At the mixer, Cynthia greets the ladies, but Kim is irritated that she’s been there for an hour, and NeNe is taking her sweet time to show—(what? Is she cleaning her dentures?). Feeling stressed at being late for dinner with Kroy, she decides to bounce. But as she creeps to the door, NeNe stops her and insists she stays for five more minutes. Kim lies and says she’s gonna go “tee tee,” but once her frenemy is nowhere in sight, Kim escapes.

Although NeNe is irritated that Kim dissed her, she doesn’t let it ruin her night with all her fake friends. Cynthia gathers all the backstabbing elite together and makes a toast to NeNe’s success. Kenya makes fun of Cynthia the entire time, and then rudely grabs the mic and offers her own toast. She pulls NeNe aside and says she hopes they can build a relationship, despite her off-putting interaction with Cynthia.

Cynthia butts her way into the convo, which makes Kenya call her NeNe’s “talking head.”

“I’m a pretty talking head,” Cynthia shoots back, adding “there’s no need for disrespect.”

But we have a funny feeling she’ll be gettin’ some.
