NBC sitcom star Matthew Perry is set to go on “The Good Wife” on CBS.

Perry, 43, the former “Friends” star who now stars in the new NBC sitcom “Go On,” is returning to the Julianna Margulies drama on CBS in a role he first played early last season.

The story is being reported in various places on Saturday, including here, on the Hollywood Reporter Web site.

According to the story, Perry will be back in the role of Mike Kresteva in one “Good Wife” episode that will likely be seen in January. Kresteva is described as a “slick Chicago attorney.”

Apparently, this character is a possible candidate for governor, running against Alicia’s husband, Peter (played by Chris Noth). Margulies plays Alicia.

Meanwhile, Perry’s NBC sitcom, “Go On,” has been picked up for a full season. It airs Tuesday nights at 9/8c.
