What would Martha do?

We’re about to find out as the domestic goddess broadens her empire … with a foray into the comedy world.

Martha Stewart is executive producing a sitcom for Fox that is about … Martha Stewart, Deadline reports.

The comedy is based on the upcoming book “The Tao of Martha” by Jen Lancaster, which centers on a disorganized party girl whose husband dumps her because of her chaotic lifestyle.

Realizing she needs to get her act together and become a better example for her daughter, the woman gets crafty and turns to the “teachings” of lifestyle guru and model of perfection Martha Stewart as her guide.

Austin Winsberg (“Gossip Girl,” “Jake in Progress”) will write the script and serve as the showrunner, while Stewart, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo executive produce the project, which comes from Grazer’s Imagine TV.

Stewart is not expected to appear on-camera, but a surprise cameo at some point wouldn’t be out of the question … Martha already showed her flare for sitcom style when she guest starred on CBS’s “2 Broke Girls” earlier this year.
