While Sharon Osbourne makes surprising headlines again, revealing that she has undergone a double mastectomy, NBC is on the hunt to find her replacement on “America’s Got Talent.”

And three vastly different names are popping up as possible contenders for the gig following Osbourne’s departure at the end of this season, according to TMZ.

The gossip site claims producers are eyeing “90210″ bad girl Shannen Doherty, freshly rehabbed singer LeAnn Rimes and … Carly Simon as possibilities. Talk about random.

Anyway, the “Talent” show is reportedly drawing up names for their “wish list” (that’s what they come up with?) and are said to be looking for “a strong and opinionated woman” to join the judges’ panel alongside Howie Mandel and Howard Stern next season. That is, if they even return to “AGT” — rumor has it neither Howard has yet to sign a contract for another year.

Osbourne quit her role as a judge on the reality show this summer after a falling out with the network over Osbourne’s claims that NBC dropped her son Jack Osbourne from a reality show after he revealed his MS diagnosis.

The TMZ report adds that NBC spokesperson Sharon Pannozzo claims a list of prospective new “AGT” judges doesn’t exist, however, TMZ’s sources insist that one does.
