Andy Cohen Takes Dig at Donald Trump for Taking Credit for NeNe’s Success

Jimmy Fallon had an executive tiff, of sorts, on Tuesday’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” between his two guests, real estate/reality magnate Donald Trump and Bravo executive/Real Housewives mastermind Andy Cohen.

While Trump is embroiled in plenty of controversy yet again, this time with his silly attempts to extort President Obama with that “provide your documents by noon Thursday in exchange for $5 million dollars to your favorite charity” deal, he inadvertently stirred up another controversial moment on Fallon … over NeNe Leakes of all things.

Trump’s reputation for being a braggart now extends all the way to Atlanta apparently. NeNe Leakes, who first became a breakout star on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and has segued into an acting career on Ryan Murphy’s “Glee” and NBC’s “The New Normal,” also appeared on “The Celebrity Apprentice” along the way.

And Trump, who called NeNe “a real star” seemingly took credit for NeNe’s TV stardom, telling Fallon: “So many people, you know, go on ‘The Apprentice,’ and look what happens.”

The remark clearly was one that Andy Cohen took umbrage to, especially after all his hard work launching the “Real Housewives” into the behemoth it is today.

“Did Donald Trump just take credit for NeNe Leakes’ success? Is that what just happened?” Cohen pondered sarcastically when he joined Jimmy on the couch following Trump’s appearance earlier on the show.
