Anderson Cooper’s talk show is coming to an end after two seasons.
“Anderson Live” will not be renewed for a third season, Warner Bros./Telepictures announced Monday. The show will continue to air until summer 2013.
The decision, first reported by The New York Times, comes as the show continues to have disappointing ratings despite attempts by Anderson and his producers to retool the program in its sophomore season.
“We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement. “While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through. We will continue to deliver top-quality shows throughout next summer.”
