Comedic actress Bonnie Hunt will take another stab at TV-series success — this time with movie funnyman Ben Stiller producing.

Hunt, 51, has made at least three previous attempts at launching TV shows — one of which, an afternoon talk show, lasted two seasons. And one of her previous tries, a short-lived sitcom called “The Building” (1993) had another high-profile comedy personality as executive producer — David Letterman.

This time around, Hunt is teaming with Stiller’s production company, Red Hour TV, for a proposed sitcom earmarked for ABC in which Hunt will play “a confidently insecure woman with a complicated life,” according to this story on the show biz Web site Deadline.com.

The new show, to be written by Hunt, is tentatively titled “compliKATEd,” Deadline said. Yes, apparently, the “c” is to be lower-cased in this title, with “KATE” in all caps because that must be the Hunt character’s name.

Hunt’s two other TV tries (besides “The Building”) were the 2002 sitcom “Life with Bonnie” — also on ABC and also short-lived — and a syndicated afternoon talk show (“The Bonnie Hunt Show”) that, to its credit, lasted two seasons (2008-2010).
