Fox has renewed “The X Factor” for a third season, the network announced Monday.
“I couldn’t be happier about ‘The X Factor’ already being renewed for another season,” said top judge Simon Cowell in a statement. “I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season…. Our main commitment will always be to find great talent, and let’s not forget, we are now days away from our first live shows. The gloves are off! Expect fireworks!”
The live shows kick off on November 1 (just days before rival “The Voice” goes live with its episodes). Fireworks, indeed.
The current second season of “X Factor,” which features Simon, L.A. Reid and new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, averages 10.6 million viewers and a 3.9 rating in the key adults 18-49 demo.
