Barbara Walters has landed an exclusive one-on-one interview with actress Lindsay Lohan, who continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The “revealing” sit down will take place in the next couple of weeks and there reportedly will be no limitations placed on Walters in the “no holds barred” interview to air on “20/20″, according to Access Hollywood.
Lohan has chosen “The View” cohost for the exclusive because she “trusts Barbara.”
“[Lindsay] has a lot of respect and admiration for her, and knows the interview will be done accurately and fairly,” a source tells Access Hollywood.
The interview is timed to air in conjunction with the premiere of Lohan’s upcoming Lifetime original movie, “Liz & Dick,” in which she portrays screen legend Elizabeth Taylor. Some of the similarities between Lohan and Taylor (both child stars with troubled lives) are expected to be among the topics of conversation, along with presumably her legal troubles and penchant for car accidents, her woefully dysfunctional family and her wobbly attempts at making a career comeback.
Walters visited Lohan on the Lifetime set during filming this summer, where she interview Lohan’s costar Grant Bowler (who plays Richard Burton) and the film’s producer and director.
Lindsay’s interview and footage of Walters’ “Liz & Dick” set visit will air together as a one-hour prime-time ABC special.
