Recent medical school graduate Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer) is now a first-year surgical intern at Denver Memorial Hospital and she is ready to leave high school persona of geeky-girl-with-flop-sweats behind her. But Emily quickly realizes that a hospital is a lot like high school — cliques and all — when she is faced with her medical school crush Will Collins (Justin Hartley) and high school nemesis Cassandra Kopelson (Aja Naomi King). On top of that, Emily manages to get herself in some hot water with her attending Dr. Gina Bandari (Necar Zadegan), as well as the nurses, on her first day.

American Horror Story: Asylum‘ (10pm on FX) **Season Premiere** Record Now

Welcome to Briarcliff Manor, a notorious insane asylum home to the deranged serial killer, Bloody Face in the new season of the smash hit FX drama ‘Amerian Horror Story: Asylum.’ Lurking in the shadows of this “sanctuary of healing” are terrifying evils that blur the boundaries between reality and insanity. Emmy-winner Jessica Lange returns, as well as Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Zachary Quinto.
