Much like the characters in the famed series, NBC’s modern take on “The Munsters” isn’t quite dead.

The pilot, which reportedly cost the network $10 million to produce, made headlines when news surfaced that the channel had scrapped plans to bring the series back to television. With names that included the likes of Portia de Rossi as Lily Munster, Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, the series became a high-profile project for NBC.

Now, the channel has decided to show viewers the pilot after all. Dubbed “Mockingbird Lane,” The Hollywood Reporter says that NBC will now showcase the pilot as a Halloween special that will run later this month.

Although NBC had no comment in the report, details are expected to be announced soon.
