ABC Family has canceled “Secret Life of the American Teenager” after five seasons, the network announced Wednesday.

The show will come to an end after the current fifth season, with the final 12 episodes airing in March 2013. The final season will include a proposal and a wedding, the network teases.

Guest stars for Season 5 include Chaz Bono and Danica McKellar (“The Wonder Years”), both playing themselves, as well as Diane Farr (“Numb3ers”), Beverley Mitchell (“7th Heaven”) and Kathy Kinney (“The Drew Carey Show”).

In addition, an all-new special “Secret Life” holiday episode called “Hedy’s Happy Holiday House” will air on November 19.

The groundbreaking teen drama, from “7th Heaven” creator Brenda Hampton, stars Shailene Woodley as a high school student coping with an unexpected pregnancy. Woodley’s “Secret Life” led to a big-time movie role for the young actress, who earned raves for her performance as George Clooney‘s daughter in the Oscar-nominated film “The Descendants.”
