Police were called to the home of “Two and a Half Men” star Ashton Kutcher after someone contacted 911 claiming that gunshots had been fired in his house and that people were either injured or dead.
Unfortunately, it now appears that the message came from someone looking to punk the police and, no, it wasn’t Kutcher.
Law enforcement officials state that it was all a prank, according to TMZ. It turns out that Kutcher wasn’t home at the time and although there were three people on the property who were working on the house, there wasn’t anyone at the location who was hurt.
A police spokesperson told the site that 911 was contacted via a teletext message, and that they don’t know who sent the text.
After reports went wide about the alleged shooting, Kutcher took to Twitter to calm fans, writing, “Safe an sound at two and a half men.”
