‘Babylon 5′ Star Michael O’Hare Dies

Actor Michael O’Hare died Friday at the age of 60, five days after he suffered a heart attack.

O’Hare is best known for playing Commander Jeffrey Sinclair on the sci-fi series “Babylon 5.” He appeared as a series regular on the first season and made occasional appearances on Seasons 2 and 3 (1994-1996). His other TV credits include “Law & Order,” “L.A. Law,” “One Life to Live,” and “Trapper John, M.D.”, as well as appearing in the original Broadway production of “A Few Good Men.”

Series creator J. Michael Straczynski announced the news on Facebook, calling O’Hare’s sudden passing “a terrible loss.”

“I regret that I must convey the sad news that Michael O’Hare passed away today. He suffered a heart attack on Sunday and was in a coma until his passing this afternoon. This is a terrible loss for all B5 fans and everyone involved with the show wishes to convey their condolences to the O’Hare family. He was an amazing man.”
