ABC’s “Modern Family” is welcoming another big guest star to the show.
Tony winner Matthew Broderick (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”) has signed on to guest star in an episode to air sometime this fall, says ABC, however an airdate is not yet set.
Details are few, but he’ll play a “neurotic” guy who becomes friends with Phil (Ty Burrell).
Previous high-profile guest stars to appear on the Emmy-nominated sitcom include Greg Kinnear, Ellen Barkin, Matt Dillon, Shelley Long and Nathan Lane.
Broderick’s previous guest stints on TV include appearances on NBC’s “30 Rock” and FX’s “Louie,” where he played himself.
The fourth-season premiere of “Modern Family” airs Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c on ABC.
