Kelsey Grammer still can’t believe he wasn’t nominated for an Emmy and won’t be tuning in to Sunday’s festivities, according to ABC News.
Even though he is a five-time Emmy winner, Grammer said in the interview that he was “still at a loss” for his omission in the annual television awards gala this year in spite of a well-reviewed performance as the Chicago mayor on the verge in the Starz series “Boss.”
In recent weeks, Grammer paid a visit to “The Tonight Show” and implied that his snub was due to his affiliation with the Republican party.
“Yeah, its hard to figure,” Grammer said to Jay Leno. “It may have to do with several things, honestly. But I think it’s possible. I mean, I’m a declared out-of-the-closet Republican in Hollywood.”
Now, however, he is changing his tune.
“I’ve since come to think that maybe ['Boss'] just hasn’t gotten out there enough, I don’t know,” he said to ABC News Radio.
“Boss” airs every Friday on Starz.
