British fashion star and Glamour magazine editor-at-large Louise Roe is coming to NBC’s “Fashion Star.”
Roe will host the NBC fashion design competition for its upcoming second season, replacing Elle MacPherson, who stepped down as host at the end of Season 1.
“As executive producer of ‘Fashion Star’ I’m really excited by our choice of Louise as host for the second season, I think her presence will energize and surprise,” said series creator Elle MacPherson, according to Deadline.
The gig is “an absolute dream job for me,” says Roe, who adds, “As a host I love working with a live audience, but I’m also looking to use my experience as a journalist and designer, to very much empathize with the buyers and contestants.”
Roe, who was a presenter on “Britain’s Top Model,” has previously appeared on TV in the U.S. on MTV’s “The City” and the CW makeover series “Plain Jane,” as well as contributing to the ABC’s Oscars red carpet coverage and E!’s Royal Wedding coverage.
“Fashion Star” also stars Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Vavratos as judges, who appear alongside big name retail buyers, as designer wannabes trot their designs down the runway for a chance to be the next Calvin Klein.
