If the stars align, “Modern Family” could have a star-studded episode one day in the future.
First Ann Romney professed her love of the show on “Entertainment Tonight,” which prompted series producer Steve Levitan to offer Mitt Romney’s wife a role on the show as an “officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal.”
Now Ellen DeGeneres is upping the stakes, tweeting to fans that she was volunteering to plan Ann’s roommate on the hit ABC comedy, in response to Levitan’s offer.
Of course, Romney and his wife have campaigned against gay marriage while looking to take over the Oval Office, telling reporters, “I have the same view on marriage that I had when I was governor. I believe marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman.”
Needless to say, don’t expect an Ann Romney/Ellen DeGeneres combo on the show anytime soon.
