After a week of fierce campaigning for votes from viewers, Sabrina Bryan has been picked to compete in the new season of “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars.”
Bryan, who was eliminated in Week 6 of the show’s fifth season, was chosen over former contestants Kyle Massey and Carson Kressley in the “Viewer’s Choice” competition.
Bryan appeared on “Good Morning America” Monday to share her excitement and reveal her partner this season, “DWTS” pro Louis van Amstel.
“I’m so excited,” Bryan said. “It was a fight. Carson and Kyle are both amazing, and we all three really wanted it. But I’m the lucky one with some amazing incredible fans.”
Added van Amstel, “This is the first season that I can knock myself out as a dancer and a choreographer because she’s so good.
“We’re going to knock even our own socks off,” he joked to Robin Roberts.
Bryan admitted she’s looking forward to a do-over after falling short in Season 5. “It’s just one of those things that I feel like the stars are aligning. So many people have so many things in life that they wish they could do over.”
Bryan and van Amstel join previously announced partners, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson, Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd, Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya, Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy, Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff, Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower, Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough, and Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus.
“Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” premieres on Monday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
