Ron Howard, executive producer and the narrator of “Arrested Development,” will appear on-camera in Season 4 of the recently resurrected sitcom.

The Oscar-winning director recently revealed the tidbit to CNN.

“[Creator] Mitch Hurwitz firmly has ‘Arrested Development’ under control. I might read a script here and there and throw in my two cents but mostly my job is to be the narrator,” Howard said.

“I’m also told that I’m going to have to make an appearance as I did in the last episode of ‘Arrested Development’ — I’m showing up again at some point,” he added. “So, I’m going to have to film that soon which will be kind of fun. Usually I’m a little too busy, but, with Mitch and ‘Arrested Development,’ it’s irresistible.”

The cult comedy, which aired for three seasons of Fox, has been revived for 10 new episodes which will be released on Netflix sometime next year.

On Thursday it was reported that “Mad Men” star John Slattery has signed on to guest star in several episodes in a mystery role.
