If you’ve ever secretly fantasized about channeling your inner Vanna White or showing off the grand prizes in showcase showdown, then come on down…if you’re a man.
Wait, what? For the first time in “The Price Is Right” history, the game show is looking for a male model, CBS announced Monday.
The show’s first-ever male model search will air as a five-episode web series competition on priceisright.com and on the show’s YouTube channel, where one lucky guy will win a one-week gig on the CBS game show in a once in a lifetime opportunity to pose on a brand new automobile and caress a set of new patio furniture.
The male models will be assessed on qualities such as “verbal skills, posing and ability to properly showcase a product,” according to the release, and will be judged by the producers, along with the game show’s female models.
But it’s the viewers who will pick the ultimate winner by voting for their favorite online on “The Price Is Right’s” website.
Following the online competition, and an open casting call held in Los Angeles on Thursday, Aug. 30, the finalists will be revealed on the Friday, Sept. 28 episode of “The Price Is Right.” Viewer votes will be accepted through Oct. 4 and the winner’s week-long modeling gig begins on Monday, Oct. 15.
Hosted by Drew Carey, “The Price Is Right” is TV’s longest-running game show and enters its 41st season on CBS this fall.
