The Hunger Games

Based on the best-selling young-adult novel by author Suzanne Collins, ‘The Hunger Games‘ tells the dark tale of a 16-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who is selected to compete in a vicious televised tournament in which 24 teenagers from a post-apocalyptic society fight to the death for the entertainment of the masses. In the future, North America is no more. In its place has risen Panem, a divided nation split into 12 districts. Every year, each district selects a teen of each gender (called “Tributes”) to test their worth in a competition known as the Hunger Games, which are broadcast across the nation as entertainment, and to reinforce the government’s total power. When her younger sister is selected as District 12′s latest “Tribute,” Katniss volunteers to take her place, and trains under hard-drinking former Hunger Games champion Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson) to sharpen her killer instincts. Community

The new school year brings our favorite group of misfits back together for more outlandish behavior  in ‘Community‘ Season 3. Led by Joel McHale, the ensemble cast includes Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Academy Award winner Jim Rash with Ken Jeong and Emmy Award winner Chevy Chase. Tonight You’re Mine

Jay and Silent Bob Get Old: Tea Bagging in the UK

Fernando Di Leo’s Madness

The film stars Joe Dallesandro, better known as the “Little Joe” mentioned in Lou Reed’s hit 1972 song “Walk on the Wild Side.” Dallesandro is considered by many to be the most famous male sex symbol of American underground films of the 20th Century having starred in Flesh, Trash and Heat among many others. ‘Madness’ is one of his rarely seen Italian starring roles. A photograph taken by Andy Warhol of Dallesandro’s crotch bulge encased in a tight-fitting pair of jeans is featured on the cover of the Rolling Stone’s 1971 album Sticky Fingers.
