J-Stew lands R-Patz!

Robert Pattinson is sitting down with Jon Stewart on Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show” for his first interview since his “Twilight” romance burst into flames.

And it’s Jon Stewart, of all people, who’s swooped in and stole the thunder of “Good Morning America,” who also has a scheduled appearance with Pattinson next week that will air two days later on Wednesday, August 15. (At least they didn’t get beat by “The Today Show.”)

Pattinson, 26, will be promoting his new film “Cosmopolis” directed by David Cronenberg, but we’re guessing Stewart will be all about Stewart — Kristen Stewart (aka K-Stew), that is, the hot topic of the summer in Hollywood.

Last month, Pattinson was “blindsided” and “heartbroken” by the scandalous news that his real-life girlfriend and “Twilight” love interest Kristen Stewart, 22, was caught having an affair with Rupert Sanders, 41, the married director of her film, “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Pattinson has been lying low at his pal Reese Witherspoon‘s ranch in Ojai, Calif., since he dumped Stewart, but it looks like he’s now ready to talk. He previously appeared on “The Daily Show” in 2010.
