The Brady Bunch” is staging a TV comeback with an updated version of the classic family show, Deadline reports.

The project is being co-developed and executive produced by Vince Vaughn (“Old School,” “Wedding Crashers”). It will still feature a blended family, but the comedy will represent a modern family more indicative of today’s culture.

The new “Bunch” will center around Bobby Brady, who’s divorced with kids, and is remarried to a woman who also has children from a previous relationship, and they also have one child together. To boot, both of their exes are still part of their lives.

Mike Mariano of “Raising Hope” and “My Name Is Earl” is the writer for the series, which has received a script order and will be produced by CBS TV Studios.

The original “Brady Bunch” ran from 1969-1974 on ABC, and forever in reruns in syndication, while “The Brady Bunch Movie” was a successful big-screen spoof from 1995.

Remakes are a hot property in Hollywood — NBC has a reboot of “The Munsters” on deck for midseason called “Mockingbird Lane” and this fall The CW revisits “Beauty and the Beast.”
