“You started your career by posing nude for [pictures]… You’ve just made a statement to say you’re not doing it any more,” said Sharon Osbourne to guest Kendra Wilkinson just as the former “Girl Next Door” sat down with the hosts of “The Talk.”
“That was out there and I do mean it,” replied the former Playmate. “I know I’m sure. This is a real decision I’m making… I’m done with that. It’s time to look forward to a new life.”
Wilkinson, whose new Oxygen reality show, “Kendra on Top,” showcases her life with hubby Hank Baskett and their two-year-old son, Hank IV, may be done with her life in the Playboy Mansion, but she openly admits the major role her life as a Playmate has played in her development.
“You dated Hugh Hefner along with two other women. What was that like? Did you get jealous?” asked co-host Sara Gilbert.
“It was more of a fantasy-type living,” explained Wilkinson.
“But it wasn’t like a real relationship? Or it was?” asked Gilbert.
“To one of [Hef's girlfriends] it was, but to me, I was just in it for a good time. I was looking at it as fun. I did not look at it for the long-term relationship and marriage. Come on, now. I always knew there was going to be an end.”
While Wilkinson may no longer be waited on hand-and-foot in the Playboy Mansion, the reality star says she doesn’t miss her old life. “From having butlers and maids serve me all day? Now I am the butler and the maid,” joked Wilkinson. “But do I miss it? No. I love my life today. I work very hard… I love to show what I work so hard to do.”
Wilkinson was more than happy to share some spicy details of her married life from her new book, “Being Kendra: Cribs, Cocktails, and Getting My Sexy Back,” but her overall message regarding her future was clear:
“[I'm] not selling my body anymore, but selling confidence.”
