Hantz, 34, was arrested around 2 a.m. in Lafayette Parish, La. for “OWI” — operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He reportedly refused a breathalyzer and blood test, was booked and released Thursday afternoon on $750 bond, according to TMZ.
“I wasn’t driving. I was sitting in the driver’s seat with the car running. I know stupid,” Hantz later explained on Twitter after his release from jail.
He added: “I mean all I can do is laugh it off. Learn from it. Maybe.”
Earlier this week, Hantz was kicked off of “Big Brother” on Sunday’s episode after having a violent confrontation with a fellow houseguest.
His big brother Russell Hantz — the notorious villain from “Survivor” — later sent Willie a message of congratulations on Twitter: “Youre not famous until you have a mug shot congrats Willie @HantzBB lol”
