Leave it to Jay Leno to dig up early footage of a celebrity’s early days in Hollywood.
On “The Tonight Show,” Leno welcomed “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul to the show. It turns out that Paul was a big fan of “The Price is Right” and he would attend tapings regularly.
“We found out you want to be in the middle of the audience (to get picked),” he told Leno of his experiences on the CBS game show. “They rarely choose people at the front of the audience.”
Apparently, his strategy paid off, noting “Each time we’d go, one of us gets picked, because we know what to do.”
Adding credibility to Paul’s claim, Leno then showed a young Paul getting picked to “Come on Down!” for his turn on the game show that took place about 14 years ago. Needless to say, he was enthusiastic about his selection.
“You’re the man Bob! You’re my idol!” Paul yelled to Bob Barker as he went down to be the next contestant on “The Price is Right.”
“I literally had six cans of Red Bull,” Paul said of his younger self. “Obviously.”
