Katie Holmes may be embroiled in “Project: Divorce,” but that didn’t stop her from fulfilling her professional obligations.
Holmes taped her stint as a guest judge on the “Runway” spinoff that films at New York’s Parsons School of Design.
“She did great,” “All Stars” judge Isaac Mizrahi told People after filming the episode.
The news is interesting not only because Holmes just filed for divorce on Friday from Tom Cruise after five years of marriage, but also because it’s a bit surprising there is even going to be a second season of “Project Runway: All Stars.”
Despite having a best-of-the-best “Runway” roster of memorable contestants and fan favorites, the first edition hardly dazzled, mostly because it didn’t star “Runway’s” regular cast of charismatic characters (Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Gracia). Instead, “All Stars” features bland host Angela Lindvall with judges Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi. Season 1 aired over the winter, with “PR” Season 8 stand-out Mondo Guerra winning the “All Stars” title.
Season 10 of the original “Project Runway,” which is so intense two designers freaked out and quit the competition, premieres July 19 on Lifetime.
