On Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” Emily meets the proverbial Fockers of her four remaining bachelors - Arie, Chris, Jef and Sean – on hometown dates. Red flags, dirty secrets, foreign languages, and skeet shooting abound. Below, take a look at some highlights from the hometowns.
First up is a stop in Chicago to meet Chris. After he apologizes for last week’s bad behavior, Emily immediately feels more at ease with Chris and his tight-knit family. But his family is a different story as they band together to reveal their fears he’ll wind up heartbroken:
Next up, Emily heads to Salt Lake City, Utah to link up with Jef on his family’s ranch. While Jef’s skeptical parents are conveniently out of town, he gives Emily a lesson in skeet shooting 101. Just how good is her aim? Take a look below:
But the wooing doesn’t stop with clay pigeons. According to ABC, “Jef has one more surprise for Emily – and it’s one of the most romantic hometown moments in Bachelorette history.” Good luck topping that, Arie!
Of course, how better to follow an overblown romantic gesture than by taking Emily to meet your disapproving Dutch parents? Enter Arie and his European family in Scottsdale, Arizona. After a day spent at the racetrack, Emily becomes increasingly frustrated by Arie’s mother when she begins speaking in Dutch right in front of her:
Finally, Emily’s journey ends in Dallas, Texas with Sean. Despite seeming like the perfect husband-to-be, Sean is hiding two embarrassing secrets deeper and dirtier than Emily could have ever imagined: he’s a slob and he still lives at home!
“The Bachelorette” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
