“Terminator 2′s” Robert Patrick has signed a deal to join the cast of “True Blood” this season playing Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) father.

He’ll play the recurring role of Jackson Herveaux, who, in addition to being the werehunk’s pops, has a family history with a connection to Vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). Look for Patrick to first appear in a flashback in episode nine, which travels back to the 1980s when Alcide was a teen.

Patrick will also be seen on TV this fall in the new ABC drama “Last Resort.”
