Former “Big Love” star Jeanne Tripplehorn has signed a one-year deal to join the cast of CBS’s “Criminal Minds,” the network announced Thursday.

She’ll appear on the upcoming eighth season as a series regular playing a new FBI profiler.

“We’re thrilled to have Jeanne Tripplehorn join our team as a profiler,” executive producer Erica Messer said in a statement. “Her character will be introduced in the premiere. It’s an exciting way to start Season 8.”
