‘RHOOC’: Vicki Confesses That She’s a Mess

Last week it was an Alexis smackdown, this week it was a Vicki meltdown on “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”

In Tuesday night’s part 2 of the ladies’ trip to Costa-Rica-Not-Mexico, Vicki Gunvalson’s “wackadoodle” behavior hit a “breaking point,” according to her costars.

The bossy one’s increasingly imbalanced behavior began in last week’s episode that gave us such quotables as “Somebody give Vicki her meds!” “Does she have an off button?” “lay off the jungle juice” and the real zinger, “you can’t makeup your own rules in life, you HYPOCRITE!” Not to mention a not-so-innocent car ride game which had the normally G-rated Vickster suddenly spouting dirty words that even caught the always-inappropriate Tamra off-guard. (Remind us to never go on a picnic with Vicki.)

After trying to put on “a good face” all season long, Vicki’s full love tank exploded and she could no longer “mask her pain” over everything going back in the O.C., namely her sadness over her second failed marriage, compounded by a crushing blow from daughter Brianna.

“What she did was just so hurtful,” Vicki cried. Those not in the know, Brianna’s evil deed was … eloping. Because her daughter’s decision to get married in a hush hush ceremony after feeling elated and liberated from surviving a cancer scare is somehow all about Vicki.

While we wondered if she had jungle fever or something, Vicki’s dive off the deep end turned morbid when the housewives decided to plant some trees. Because there aren’t enough trees in the jungle. During the horticultural expedition Vicki coos, “Oh this is romantic,” before tears suddenly stream down her face with this bizarre observation: “You know it will be sad one day when one of us dies. It’s gonna happen one day. Makes me sad.”

“Planting the tree is our legacy. As a group. I’m sad. I’m happy,” Vicki says as the group stares at her blank-faced, wondering if they are going to make it out of the jungle alive.

Instead, Vicki accidentally kills Alexis’ tree. The irony of which is pointed out by Heather, considering last week’s evisceration of Alexis when the girls ganged up her and attacked the “white elephant” in the room (that she’s a pretentious phoney baloney).

During more boo-hooing back at the Housewives hut, Vicki declared, “I’m not a crazy girl.”

In the next scene she says, “I think I’m going crazy.”

“I think I’m going to wake up from a nightmare,” she adds. “I cry all night long. Like uncontrollably crying. I can’t stop.”

Then she decided she was happy again and “so thankful for where I’m at now that I came to a place where I want to better my life.”

Next week on “The O.C.”: Vicki buys her non-deadbeat-dad beau Brooks some new teeth!

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo.
