Movie star Charlize Theron went on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday night to promote not one, but two upcoming summer movies getting released one week apart.
Theron, 36 — an Oscar winner for “Monster” (2003) — plays the evil queen in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” the new, reimagined update of the old Snow White story that’s due to open June 1. (Kristen Stewart’s playing Snow White.) And Theron also stars in the new Ridley Scott action flick “Prometheus,” opening a week later on June 8.
On “Tonight,” Theron talked about what it’s like to be a mom, now that she has adopted a child (a boy named Jackson). She also talked about a South African AIDS charity she has set up, and talked about her two movies. She was scheduled to cover some of the same topics on Thursday’s edition of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (check local listings).
As you’ll see in the “Tonight Show” video above, Theron also told Jay Leno what it’s like to go drinking with her new best bud, Chelsea Handler.
