“America’s Next Top Model” is getting a major makeover next season, and The CW announced the changes coming next season at their Upfronts presentation Thursday in New York.
Heading into its 19th cycle, the model-search reality show is freshening up its panel, as male model Rob Evans and fashion-PR guru Kelly Cutrone join Tyra Banks as judges. Stylist Johnny Wujek, known for styling singer Katy Perry, rounds out the new cast as “creative consultant.”
The new faces fill the void left after Banks fired Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and Jay Alexander at the end of last season in an effort to re-invigorate the aging franchise.
The upcoming season, pegged as a “College Edition,” will also feature audience voting for the first time. Beginning May 24, viewers will be able to vote online on CW’s website for their favorite contestants.
In the last shake-up for the show, “AMNT” will air on a new night and time, when it moves to Fridays at 8/7c this fall.
