Looks like Gwyneth Paltrow started a trend. Two big name female stars are set for guest-starring arcs on the upcoming fourth season of “Glee,” the network announced Monday.
Kate Hudson will join the show for a substantial eight-episode arc next season, while Emmy winner Sarah Jessica Parker makes her first return to TV since “Sex and the City” when she also appears for multiple episode. There are limited details about their roles at this time, but we do know that the “Glee” kids who graduate at the end of this season will head to New York, where the storyline will feature a “show within a show” premise.
The network also gleefully announced the sitcom is moving to a new night and time next season, and will air Thursdays at 9/8c following “The X Factor.”
Paltrow won raves for her appearance last season as the too-cool-for-school substitute teacher Holly Holliday.
The third-season finale of “Glee,” guest starring Lindsay Lohan, airs Tuesday, May 22, at 9/8c on Fox.
