“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is losing one of its most memorable cast members.
Sheree Whitfield told Wetpaint Entertainment that she’s is departing the Bravo series because she can no longer handle the drama.
“After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave,” she said. “The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness.”
Whitfield is one of the original members of the case and often went toe-to-toe with other cast members such as NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak.
“I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck.”
On Wednesday afternoon, Bravo confirmed the news of her departure to People magazine, stating, “We have enjoyed working with Sheree as part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. We wish her all the best in the future.”
