Jimmy Fallon goaded Sofia Vergara into doing an American accent on Thursday’s “Late Night.” The result was predictably terrible and hilarious.  The “Modern Family” star (and this weekend’s “SNL” host) admitted that when she first moved to L.A., she tried to ditch her heavy Colombian accent by spending tons of dough on a speech coach.  Naturally, “It was the money, like, most thrown away,” she said, thickly accented.
