At its annual Upfronts Presentation Wednesday in New York, Bravo announced plans to add 11 new reality series and two scripted series — its first foray into original scripted programming — to its slate, as well as the return of eight current shows. This marks a 27% increase in original programming for the network.
The notable highlights include plans for two “Real Housewives” stars to get spin-off shows.
One will feature “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump in a series about the inner workings of her new Hollywood restaurant, SUR.
The other spin-off stars “Atlanta Housewife” Kandi Burruss as she churns out hits in “The Kandi Factory,” which has been greenlighted as a series after a successful special aired in March.
Also on the way is another entry in the “Top Chef” franchise, with “Life After Top Chef,” which features such popular contestants as Jen Carroll, Richard Blais, Fabio Viviani and Spike Mendelsohn and serves up a look at their lives post-competition.
As for the scripted series, the network has two original series in development slated for 2013, “22 Birthdays,” which focuses on “the sordid and scandalous activities of a group of parents at an exclusive private school” and “Blowing Sunshine,” which is set at a fictional private rehabilitation center.
Bravo also announced they’ve renewed the following series for another season: “Flipping Out,” “Tabatha Takes Over,” “Million Dollar Decorators,” “Top Chef Masters,” “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” “Chef Roblé & Co.,” “Pregnant in Heels” and “Inside the Actors Studio.”
Here’s more on the other series that have been greenlighted, per Bravo:
