Although “Jersey Shore” is hardly ever associated with the word
“intelligence” “limits,” MTV and 495 Productions allegedly warned Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, 29, to control his excessive liquor guzzling on set and threatened to replace him multiple times, sources close to the show’s production tell TMZ.
Producers told Sitchie during Seasons 2 and 3 that his drinking was making it hard for them to shoot the show (our fib-o-meter is going bonkers right now), and although the Bicep Bulger assured them each time that he’d be more prudent, he reportedly fell back into his instigating, belligerent ways, thanks to the Grey Goose.
But now that The Situation is really trying to sober up for good by going to rehab, MTV and 495 Productions are scrambling to find additional castmates to phase him out, say sources.
So is the end of the trash-talking, head-bashing, and incite-Snooki-till-she-explodes guido?
According to MTV’s rep, not if the network can help it. “There are no plans to replace the cast of ‘Jersey Shore,’” the rep insists.
Even if it’s true that MTV’s willing to keep a sober Sitch and a preggie Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi on the show, won’t it just make the cast look like that horrible A-word they’ve been trying to avoid all along? (i.e. Adults?)
