Game of Thrones” finally returns this weekend. In addition to the numerous lovable and detestable (we’re looking at you, Joffrey) characters from Season 1, expect to see a slew of new Westeros residents when Season 2 premieres on Sunday, April 1 at 9/8c. So, who are all of these people? HBO has put together an incredibly thorough introductory video to answer just that:

Here’s a more detailed rundown of some of the new additions:

Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon: Stannis is the brother of the late king, Robert Baratheon. Honorable to a fault, Stannis believes he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

Liam Cunningham as Davos Seaworth: Davos is Stannis’s right hand man whom the Baratheon brother trusts above all others.

Carice van Houten as Melisandre: Melisandre is a high priestess and the left hand of Stannis. With her New Age-y belief in the Lord of Light (which goes against the Old Gods), Melisandre possesses mysterious powers which are extremely alluring to Stannis.

Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell: Margaery sees herself as a pawn in a bigger game. As the sister of Renly’s lover Loras Tyrell, she enters into a political marriage with Stannis’ younger brother, who also seeks the crown.

Simon Armstrong as Qhorin Halfhand: Qhorin is legendary on the Night’s Watch for being one of the greatest Rangers of all time. A somewhat mystical figure, Qhorin develops a paternal relationship with Jon Snow.

Patrick Malahide as Balon Greyjoy: Balon was once king of the Iron Islands. But after being defeated in battle by Ned Stark, he was forced to give over his son Theon to the Starks as a hostage. When Theon returns home to propose his father join forces with Robb Stark, he is shocked to discover Balon’s true intentions.

Tom Wlaschiha as Jaqen H’Ghar: Jaqen is a charming, seductive criminal being taken to the Wall by Yoren along with Arya.

Gemma Whelan as Asha Yara Greyjoy: Asha is the tough-as-nails older sister of Theon who defies the traditions of her family by commanding her own ship and leading men to battle.

Rose Leslie as Ygritte: Ygritte is a Wilding from the True North above the Wall. Strong and level-headed, she causes plenty of trouble for Jon Snow.

Nonso Anozie as Xaro Xhoan Daxos: Xaro Xhoan is a merchant prince of Qart and is a member of the Thirteen, a prominent group of traders within Qarth.
