Another unexpected entry may be in the works to fill one of those the vacancies on Fox’s “The X Factor.”
George Clooney’s girlfriend, former WWE wrestler and “DWTS” contestant Stacy Keibler is in talks to join the show, according to The New York Post. While her role was not revealed, one of the paper’s sources said that Kiebler could in fact come in to help fill the shoes of former host Steve Jones.
An unnamed person associated with the show said that “her lack of experience in the music business may make her more appropriate as a host. She looks fantastic and has bags of charisma.”
Jones, as well as judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Sherzinger were fired in January. Since then, a wide slate of musical personalities have since been linked to the show, from the late Whitney Houston to Janet Jackson to Pink.
However, one name that hasn’t gone away is that of Britney Spears, who reportedly turned down a $10 million a year offer to be on the show.
The post article states that “Talks are still ongoing with Britney, and she is asking for a lot more money, than was originally offered. But producers are confident Britney will realize this is a great opportunity for her to reinvent herself and accept their deal.”
Auditions are already under way for Season 2, although the return date for ‘X Factor’ has not been announced.
