Dr. Drew Pinsky’s mission to provide audiences with his honest, and often controversial medical opinions, came to “The View” on Friday, and not even the world’s most famous actress was immune to his scrutiny.

The HLN host visited the ladies of “The View,” with whom he discussed Whitney Houston’s tragic death, before setting his sights on Angelina Jolie. Earlier in the week during a conversation with actress and former anorexia sufferer Tracey Gold on his show “Lifechangers,” Pinsky voiced his concern about Angelina Jolie’s frail frame at the Oscars. He reiterated this opinion on “The View,” telling host Barbara Walters, “It’s another condition where I saw that and spoke up about it on my HLN program because I felt I had to. I’m tired of keeping quiet about this stuff… She’s malnourished.”

The doctor, whose critique of Jolie and partner Brad Pitt’s relationship led to a very public apology just over a year ago, seemed to have no qualms about providing his harsh opinion about the actress’ appearance.

“We shouldn’t look at that as an ideal of beauty,” said Pinsky of Jolie’s ultrathin figure. “She’s a beautiful woman, but she needs to be better nourished.”

In fact, Pinsky had only one regret about speaking out about the star’s health. “I feel guilty for not having done it sooner.”
