Watch: Bruce Springsteen Previews His New Album on ‘Late Night’

by | February 28, 2012 at 11:23 AM | Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon kicked off Bruce Springsteen Week on “Late Night” with The Boss himself. He and the E Street Band sang two songs on the show from his new album “Wrecking Ball”: The first was the anthem “We Take Care of Our Own” that he and the band sang at the Grammys and elsewhere. The second song is the album’s title track, which will satisfy Bruce’s legions of fans in New Jersey, as it contains more references to the Garden State than he’s had in a song in quite a while.

By the way, did you know that Bruce Springsteen will turn 63 this year? He looks like he’s about 50; maybe it’s because he’s trimmer than we’ve ever seen him. But more than that, the guy is still writing powerful, meaningful songs, which is more than we can say about some of his contemporaries. Maybe that’s what’s keeping him so young-looking. Either way, it’s always good to have new material from him, and his latest epic tour is slated to start in March.
