Even though it seems like the craziness surrounding Knicks guard Jeremy Lin is dying down a bit, there are still some fresh angles to mine. For instance, we’re surprised that no one thought of making Pearl Jam’s classic “Jeremy” into a tribute to the Harvard grad. Turns out, though, that we were just waiting for Jimmy Fallon to write it.
Last night on “Late Night,” Fallon put another chapter in his book of expert musical impressions by coming out looking like 1991-era Eddie Vedder, singing “Jeremy Liiin… saaaaanity.” The song pretty much documents the second-year player’s saga from end-of-the-bench afterthought to New York’s next big star, including his great game against the Lakers and — perhaps his best move — the time he turned down a date with Kim Kardashian.
