When you work on a show sixteen hours a day, it stands to reason that there’s going to be a fair amount of inter-office dating happening. So it really isn’t a huge surprise to read the report from Life & Style magazine that “Glee” super couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, whose characters Rachel and Finn are close to getting married, are also dating for real.
The L&S story cites sources that witnessed Michele, who broke up with her longtime boyfriend Theo Stockman last September, having a romantic dinner with Monteith at a Los Angeles restaurant on Valentine’s Day. All the usual words were used in the article, including the ubiquitous “canoodling.”
As the article also mentions, Michele’s asserted in a March 2011 interview for Glamour’s UK edition that, as far as on-set romance is concerned, “I mean, for me, if it was going to happen with anybody, it would have happened with Cory.” She then cited that he’s like a “big brother” to her. Hmm… guess that notion went away as soon as she was single again, didn’t it?
How long this will last is anyone’s guess, but if they break up, we’ll likely next hear about how everyone is a professional and they can manage working together every day, etc. Of course, they’re now going to be asked as much about their relationship as they will about Rachel and Finn’s engagement. So they’ve got that going for them. Hope they enjoy that canoodling.
